🎡 Feria de Abril (Seville Fair)

Overview

The Feria de Abril is one of the most colorful and lively festivals in Spain. Held each spring in Seville, it celebrates Andalusian culture with a week of dancing, music, traditional food, and horse parades. What started as a cattle fair in 1847 has evolved into Seville's biggest annual celebration.

The fairgrounds are filled with over 1,000 temporary tents called casetas, where locals gather to eat, drink, and dance sevillanas — a traditional flamenco-style dance. During the day, visitors can watch beautiful horse-drawn carriages and riders in traditional dress parade through the streets.

At night, the entire fair lights up with thousands of colorful lanterns, music echoing from every caseta, and celebration that lasts until dawn. It's one of the best times to experience authentic local culture in Seville.
